AnchorSew™ 3mm Device

Combining the Best of Both Worlds!

The USS Sports Medicine™ AnchorSew™ 3 mm is a resorbable repair device used in conjunction with the USS Sports Medicine™ ArthroSew™ suturing device to attach soft tissue to bone using sutures. The resorbable repair device is implanted into a prepared hole in the bone, and is used to attach soft tissue. The soft tissue anchors are made of a resorbable copolymer, derived from glycolide and lactide colored with D&C violet #2. The glycolide/lactide copolymer degrades and resorbs in vivo by hydrolysis to lactic and glycolic acids which are then metabolized by the body. TI•CRON™ polyester sutures are nonabsorbable, sterile, surgical sutures composed of Poly (ethylene terephthalate). The braided sutures are coated uniformly with silicone to increase surface lubricity, thereby enhancing handling characteristics, ease of passage through tissue and knot run-down properties. TI•CRON™ polyester sutures are inert and elicit only minimal local tissue reaction. They are available dyed with D&C (blue) No. 6 colorant and are also available undyed (white). TI•CRON™ sutures meet all requirements established by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the European Pharmacopeia (EP) for nonabsorbable surgical sutures except where indicated on the individual unit package. The USS Sports Medicine™ ArthroSew™ device is designed for introduction and use thru cannulas 8.4 mm in diameter or larger. Refer to the package insert included with the ArthroSew™ device for complete warnings, contraindications and instructions for use.
